Galen Rupp Runs 4 Minutes- The Last 1,600 Meters!
Remember back in 1972 when Steve Prefontaine boasted that if he had to he could run the last mile of the Olympic 5,000 in under 4 minutes? Flash forward to 2009 and watch Oregon's Galen Rupp's finish at the NCAA 5,000 meter race,. Ok so they only ran 14:00 vs 13:20s, but remember he won the 10,000 the day before!
