After he retired from the NFL following the 2000 season, Aikman ran to stay in shape. He is a frequent user of the Katy Trail, the greenbelt along which the former Missouri-Kansas-Texas (MKT or Katy) Railroad traveled through Dallas. The 3.5-mile running, biking and hiking trail is a public park maintained by The Friends of Katy Trail, a non-profit organization with 1,200 members. -star-telegram
